Kuarantine Debuts New Single "Silver Spoon" at Creatures Fest

Rock all-stars and 1980s non-makeup KISS cover band Kuarantine, featuring Fozzy frontman and multi-hyphenate superstar Chris Jericho, recently released their latest single “Silver Spoon” via Madison Records on May 27.  The release quickly drew the attention of national media including Blabbermouth, BraveWords, Metal Anarchy, Vents Magazine, Icon Vs Icon, Mandatory/Wrestlezone, and more!

“Silver Spoon” was originally released by KISS in 1989 on the Hot In The Shade album. The new track marks the fourth release from Kuarantine, who have been entertaining fans with their versions of KISS rarities and some good ol’ fashioned rock music.

For most bands, playing in front of a crowd of fans is the ultimate reward. For Kuarantine, when fans of the KISS cover band recently got a chance to see this high-energy group of musicians and performers live at Creatures Fest, on May 28 in Nashville, Tennessee, the performance was even more meaningful as it’s the first time performing together live, in front of an audience.

“Being part of festivals like Creatures Fest gave us the opportunity to perform some songs that KISS fans don’t normally get to hear, especially in an environment that is the reason for our band’s existence,” says bassist PJ Farley.

The band, formed during the time of the COVID-19 pandemic when everyone was encouraged to stay home, began by playing with online apps and live-streaming services. Farley, who rose to fave in the rock band Trixter, has also toured with Kiss, Poison and Scorpion before joining Fozzy in 2020. Joining Farley in Kuarantine are Kent Slucher on drums, the powerhouse behind country music sensation Luke Bryan; Joe McGinness on guitar, a rising star who has shared the satge with artists including Old Dominion, Florida Georgia Line and Granger Smith; and Chris Jericho with vocals. Jericho rose to fame in the WWE, and currently wrestle in the AEW, as well as serving as lead singer of Fozzy since 2020.

“Coming together to form Kuarantine, we all had one common bond: to stay creative during lockdown and to do something special for all music fans!” Jericho says.

Luckily for KISS fans, that creative push has continued even after lockdown. The band recently released its fourth single, “Silver Spoon,” keeping up with the demand from fans. “We have record companies and groupies sliding into our DMs daily with requests and the question ‘What’s the next track going to be?’” Jericho says. “Now the time has come to unleash ‘Silver Spoon’ and turn the rock n’ roll world into a damn zoo … let us see all the animals!”

Kuarantine chose to record a song from Gene and then a song from Paul, so when choosing what to work after the last single, “Love is a Deadly Weapon,” they went back to the Paul songs. “’Silver Spoon’ was on our original list of song choices, and as it was time for a Paul song, we unanimously agreed this would be next,” says Farley. “This is really a great, underrated song, and lives up to our reasons for revisiting some of these hidden gems. The best part has been really dissecting the tunes. They’re much more intricate than they appear so it’s fun to learn them.”

Kuarantine music is available everywhere for streaming and download via Madison Records with distribution by The Orchard.
